What are the documents required to make a reservation with Europcar Panamá?

The documents required to reserve are:

  • Driver's License
  • Identiy card or passport
  • Credit Card

If I don’t have credit card, can I book?

The credit card is a requirement for renting cars at Europcar Panamá, however, you can rent by presenting the credit card of a relative or friend as a guarantee.

In the event that you use a third party's credit card, the cardholder must be present at the time of opening the rental contract to accept the blocking of the amount corresponding to the guarantee for the vehicle.

How can I make my reservation payment?

The forms of payment in Europcar Panamá are the following::

  • Debit card: You can use a debit card to pay the reservation online, however, when picking up the car you will be asked for a credit card to make the deductions corresponding to the guarantee.
  • Credit card: In order to avoid possible fraud, the credit card holder must be present at the moment of creating the contract when picking up the rental car.

NOTE: The credit card must be issued by a bank institution. Departmental credit cards are not accepted. They must be personalized, with the name of the holder in relief and have at least one year of being issued. Corporate cards must also have these characteristics.

What is the minimum / maximum age to book with Europcar Panamá?

  • The minimum age to reserve a car with Europcar is 18 years old, however a person with less than 25 years old is considered as a minor driver, and it has an additional fee $13.89 USD per day including taxes.
  • The maximum age for renting a vehicle is 69 years

How many additional drivers can hire the book my car?

The maximum number of drivers that can be included on a reservation is 3. (Each additional driver fee is $5.33 USD per day including taxes.

How can I reserve Baby seats?

Due to the fact that baby seats are sometimes returned in bad conditions for rent, these extras are subject to availability at the branch where they have been reserved.

  • The cost for the Baby Seat is $3.21 USD per day including taxes.

Can I drive the vehicle out of Panamá republic?

At the moment it is not possible to use the rental car outside the Republic of Panamá.

How can I make changes on my reservation or contract?

How to make sure that the voucher has been canceled and that my deposit has been released?

The rental agreement can not be closed without first releasing the guarantees retained on the customer's credit card, so the guarantees are unlocked at the time of returning the car and finalizing the rental agreement, however, in some banking institutions the release is reflected even after 30 days.

At the rental office you will be given a cancellation voucher with which you can check with your bank the release of the amount by the guarantee.

If my credit card offers me the necessary coverage’s, how can I make use of them?

Europcar Panamá offers final rates without hidden charges so when you pick up the rental car you are not charged for any additional charges except for those you have requested.

However, on occasion, there may be additional charges for the following concepts:

  • Missing gasoline
  • Replacement of key
  • Repair of flat tire
  • Crane
  • Transit taxes
  • Rental extension
